The bottom club in the Premier League will receive more money than Bayern Munich.   Wolfsburg’s sporting director argues that German clubs need to get a better television deal.   Undoubtedly true, but do they have the clout to get it?

Part of the Premier League’s strength is its global appeal which the Bundesliga lacks, although La Liga has it.  Marquee name signings are part of the means of consolidating this appeal.
