Qatar stake in AC Milan?

In between sorting out his other problems, former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has been looking for foreign investment for AC Milan who need a shot in the arm to revive their fortunes.   It looks as if his boat may have come in.

Berlusconi have been considering Russia as one possible source of funds.   He is still well regarded there.  However, it looks as Qatar's sovereign wealth fund, the Qatar Investment Authority, may come up with $324m for a 30 per cent stake in the club.

They have already been lavishing money on Paris Saint-Germain after acquiring  the club outright, to the extent that the club is now being thought of as a candidate for sanctions under Uefa's financial fair play rules.
